| NLP Coaching Certification Entry Level Criteria The NLP Coaching certification is the first certification programme that John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St Clair have run outside of South America. This is a very special training. John and Carmen are seeking to certify high quality Coaches. The certification is prestigious because of the unique aspect of carrying John Grinder's signature certifying you as NLP Coach. NLP Coaching: 26 - 30 November 2004 Certification day: 1st December The five day course is practical and John and Carmen will be working on the basis that attendees are already trained to a certain level in NLP. There is a minimum entry requirement for those applying for Certification. Certification will be offered jointly through The NLP Academy and Quantum Leap (John and Carmen's US based company). Certification is conducted on 1 December 2004, where candidates will demonstrate competency to John, Carmen and Michael Carroll that they can apply the skills they have learned in the course. Minimum entry level for NLP Coaching Certification * " Certified NLP Practitioner In certain cases where you can demonstrate you have NLP experience but are not certified as a Practitioner you can attend the 5 day course.Please state your level of experience if you wish to be considered Candidates will be expected to have working knowledge of core NLP patterning i.e calibration, anchoring, submodalities, reframing, Meta Model and Milton Model, logical levels and logical types (as defined in Carmen and John's book Whispering in the Wind). People who have attended shorter NLP Practitioner courses are welcome to apply. The most important aspect is a working knowledge of the pattering outlined in the paragraph above. Ideally candidates will have had experience of New Code NLP, but this is not necessary as Michael Carroll will run a one day 'boot camp' Training on New Code NLP principles on Saturday 23 October 2004, cost £120.00 + VAT (£141.00) Please read the attached "Your Questions Answered Sheet" which follows this document Your questions answered regarding 'NLP Coaching Certification' Q. I am not yet an NLP Practitioner, can I attend The Coaching Certification? " In certain cases where people can demonstrate they have NLP experience but are not certified as Practitioners you can attend the 5 day course, but cannot obtain certification. or " You can attend The Academy Practitioner Training at a special price offered to people who are taking NLP Coaching and Certification. Contact office for details: NLP Practitioner: 2 - 8 October 2004 Practitioner Training is the only prerequisite for attending Coaching Certification, although we offer an excellent package for all three courses listed above. See the attached schedule for prices or contact the office for details. Q. I have done my Practitioner training but am not confident in my skills? You can take the NLP Practitioner course at a special 20% discount on the basis you are already certified as an NLP Practitioner. Q. I have done my Practitioner training and am confident in my working skills, but not sure of conscious content i.e. NLP terminology? a) You can read Whispering in the Wind by John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St Clair which provides an excellent insight into the intellectual elements of NLP as well NLP's origins. b) You can purchase the NLP Academy Practitioner Multi Media Study set which includes over 25 hours of video action edited from a live Practitioner training, 800 powerpoint slides and a full transcript. The set of seven CD ROMS will give you comprehensive knowledge of NLP as well as plenty of NLP demonstrations on video. Q. Is there an association of NLP Coaches I can join? You will be invited to join the NLP Academy Coaching Network. This is a non-profit aspect of our business and there will be a small annual membership charge for web maintenance. All members will be listed on our web site as NLP Certified Coaches, certified by John Grinder. The site will be accessed via the NLP Academy home page and John Grinder's own site www.nlpwhisperinginthewind.com Both these sites attract a lot of web traffic. The online forum will be a resource for Coaches to network and share information. Q. I have already attended a Coaching Training and am certified as a coach, why should I attend The NLP Coaching Certification? NLP has the most powerful skill available for Coaches. It is difficult to imagine how a Coach can be effective without NLP practical skills. Top Coaches who are not NLP trained have a natural tacit knowledge of NLP style calibration and questioning and an intuitive knowledge of how people operate. NLP offers Coaches who may not yet have acquired these intuitive skills, an option to quickly learn them. NLP was the first content free, process methodology for directing change in people and sowed the seeds for Coaching to form. While regular coaches talk about process and content free direction for their clients to achieve what they want, in reality few courses offer a hands-on approach for achieving this in the coaching context. Q. I have done numerous NLP Trainings, why should I take The NLP Academy Coaching Certification with John Grinder and Carmen Bostic St Clair? While many NLP Practitioner courses explicate NLP patterning, these courses do not necessarily package NLP in a way that it can applied in the coaching environment. John Grinder as the co-creator of NLP and his partnership with Carmen as a sought after business consultant and coach, make them the ideal people to learn NLP coaching from. |
